Review – LEGO Architecture 21030 United States Capitol Building Set

Excellently packaged set with detailed and clear instructions to accompany the equally detailed model.  High in quality yet reasonable priced. More for the older teen (or adult) than young children, but still fun for all the family. Lots of little pieces which can get fiddly and potentially frustrating. Overall, if you are technically minded (and patient) you will find to architecture set a very satisfying build.

Pros

• Exceptional detail.
• A real life landmark model, ideal for those interested in design.
• High quality products, as you expect from LEGO.

Cons

• Over a thousand pieces, can get fiddly – although that may well be what you are looking for?!
• Fairly lengthy build and will take a number of hours to complete.
• Not suitable for young children (12-18 recommended age range.)

Conclusion

This product was not designed for young children, hence is probably unsuitable at least unsupervised.  More a teenager or adult build. Good overall design and LEGO architecture set with clear and easy to follow step by step instructions. Although fiddly, some users may rise and relish the challenge of building this model. Looks great when complete.
